Maryland Craft Beers & Wines to be at Brew At The Zoo 2014

This Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, 2014, the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore hosts it annual Brew At The Zoo Fundraiser from 1pm – 7pm each day.  This event sells out annually and it appears that this will continue the trend.  Over 80 varieties of beers will be available during the two day event.  As of this writing, 6 Maryland craft beer brewers and 3 Maryland wineries are participating.  The current offering of Maryland craft beers include:

The Brewer’s Art of Baltimore will be serving up four of their brands — Birdhouse, a season American Pale Ale; the Belgian Strong Pale Ale Ozzy; the seasonal Belgian Pale Ale Porch and their flagship brand, the 7% ABV Resurrection, a Belgian Dubbel..

Four varieties of Maryland craft beer will be offered up by DuClaw Brewing CompanyBare Ass Blonde Ale; Dirty Little Freak Coconut Caramel Chocolate Brown Ale; the traditional American Wheat Ale Funk and Neon Gypsy, an India Pale Ale

Frederick’s Flying Dog Brewery will also be be bringing four of their signature craft brews — Easy IPA American Session IPA, Snake Dog India Pale Ale, seasonal Woody Creek.Belgian White and a Mystery Keg!

One of Maryland’s newest craft beer brewers, Jailbreak Brewing Company, located in Laurel, will be participating with four of their craft beers: the Double IPA Big Punisher; the Kolsch Enlightened; Made Wit Basil, a variation of a Belgian Wheat Ale and an IPA containing jalapeno peppers Welcome To Scoville.

Baltimore’s own RavenBeer is also participating in Brew At The Zoo and serving up four of their craft beers –The Cask of Amontillado, a Doppelback; Pendulum PilsRaven Lager and Tell Tale IPA.

Tall Tales

The last participating Maryland craft beer brewer is the Tall Tales Brewing Company from the eastern shore with two of their many offerings — the Blonde Some Beach Island Ale and the Red Headed Step Child, a dark Irish red beer.

In addition to the 80+ different brews for you to partake in, wine will be available from the Maryland wineries of Boordy Vineyards, Cove Point Winery and Cygnus Wine Cellars.

Tickets for Brew At The Zoo are available for $50, with discounts available if purchased by May 23rd.  Maryland Zoo members can save an additional $10 off admission prices.  There are also VIP packages available, but there are limited quantities.  Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
